וְכִֽי־יַכֶּה֩{ve-khi-ya-KEH###veh-khee-yah-KEH###when (he) strikes} אִ֨ישׁ{ISH###EESH###a man} אֶת־עַבְדּ֜וֹ{et-av-DO###eht-ahv-DOH###his male slave} א֤וֹ{OH###OH###or} אֶת־אֲמָתוֹ֙{et-a-ma-TO###eht-ah-mah-TOH###his female slave} בַּשֵּׁ֔בֶט{ba-SHE-vet###bah-SHEH-veht###with the rod} וּמֵ֖ת{u-MET###oo-MEHT###and he dies} תַּ֣חַת{TA-khat###TAH-khaht###under} יָד֑וֹ{ya-DO###yah-DOH###his hand} נָקֹ֥ם{na-KOM###nah-KOHM###surely} יִנָּקֵֽם׃{yin-na-KEM###yihn-nah-KEHM###shall be avenged}
