| 8. Formal Translation If the thief is not found, the owner of the house must approach God {elohim, Supreme Judge} to determine whether he has not stretched out his hand into his neighbor’s property. |
| 8. Dynamic Translation But if the thief is not discovered, the homeowner must go before the judges to establish that he has not stolen anything from his neighbor. |
