19. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Miracle Initiator} said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and extend your hand over the waters of Egypt—over its rivers, over its canals, over its ponds, and over all its pools of water—and they will become blood. Blood will course through the entire land of Egypt, even into wood and stone vessels.’” |
19. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Sign Giver} told Moses, “Tell Aaron to take his staff and hold out his hand over the waters of Egypt—over its streams, canals, ponds, and every reservoir of water—and they will turn to blood. Blood will fill the whole land of Egypt, even inside wooden buckets and stone jars.” |
