Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Ezekiel 13:14:1 ⧉וְהָ֨רַסְתִּ֜יveharastiand I will tear down Ezekiel 13:14:2 ⧉אֶת־הַקִּ֨ירethakir{direct object} the wall Ezekiel 13:14:3 ⧉אֲשֶׁר־טַחְתֶּ֥םashertakhtemwhich you plastered Ezekiel 13:14:4 ⧉תָּפֵ֛לtafelwith whitewash Ezekiel 13:14:5 ⧉וְהִגַּעְתִּ֥יהוּvehiggatihuand I will bring it Ezekiel 13:14:6 ⧉אֶל־הָאָ֖רֶץelhaaretsto the earth Ezekiel 13:14:7 ⧉וְנִגְלָ֣הveniglaand will be uncovered Ezekiel 13:14:8 ⧉יְסֹד֑וֹyesodoits foundation Ezekiel 13:14:9 ⧉וְנָֽפְלָה֙venaflaand it will fall Ezekiel 13:14:10 ⧉וּכְלִיתֶ֣םukhelitemand you will be finished Ezekiel 13:14:11 ⧉בְּתוֹכָ֔הּbetokhain its midst Ezekiel 13:14:12 ⧉וִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvidatemand you will know Ezekiel 13:14:13 ⧉כִּֽי־אֲנִ֥יkianithat I Ezekiel 13:14:14 ⧉יְהוָֽה׃yahweham the LORD |
14. Formal Translation And I will break down the wall which you have plastered with whitewash, and I will bring it to the ground so that its foundation will be uncovered, and it will fall; you will be consumed in its midst, and you will know that I am the LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Judge}. |
14. Dynamic Translation I will tear down the wall that you covered with whitewash and level it to the ground so that its foundation is exposed. As it collapses, you will be destroyed within it, and you will realize that I am the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Arbiter}. |
