Exegesis

The locative clause bimkom hamelekh hamamlikh oto {בִּמְקוֹם הַמֶּלֶךְ הַמַּמְלִ֣יךְ אֹתוֹ | bim-qōm ham-me-lekh ham-ma-mlîkh ʾō-ṯô} ‘in the place of the king who made him king’ uses a construct chain modified by a participle.

The closing clause ito betokh Bavel yamut {אִתּ֥וֹ בְתוֹךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל יָמֽוּת | ʾit-tô bə-ṯōḵ Bā·ḇel yā-mûṯ} delivers the judgment with a Qal imperfect, underscoring inevitability in a judicial setting.
