| 3. Formal Translation And you shall say: “Thus says the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Sovereign Ruler}, the great eagle, great in wings, long in pinion, full of feathers that had the variegation, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.” |
| 3. Dynamic Translation Say, “This is what the Lord GOD {Adonai Yahweh, Mighty King} declares: A great eagle with broad wings, a long pinion, and plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took the tallest branch from the cedar.” |
