Exegesis

The infinitive lifnot plus daliyotav elav {לִפְנ֤וֹת דָּלִיּוֹתָיו֙ אֵלָ֔יו | lif-nôṯ da-li-yo-ṯāv ê-lav} introduces a purpose or result clause “to turn its branches toward him,” and the subsequent vav consecutive verbs frame the vine’s formation and fruitfulness.
