| 19. Formal Translation Yet you say, "Why does the son not bear the iniquity of the father?" When the son has done justice and righteousness, and has observed all My {Yahweh, Divine Legislator} statutes and has done them, he shall surely live. |
| 19. Dynamic Translation But you ask, "Why should the son not be held responsible for his father's wrongdoing?" Because the son has acted with justice and done what is right, keeping all My {Yahweh, Just Judge} laws and fully carrying them out, he will definitely live. |
