| 4. Formal Translation You are guilty because of the blood you have shed, and you have defiled yourself by the idols you made. You have drawn your days near and come to your allotted years; therefore I {Yahweh, Divine Judge} have made you a reproach among the nations and a mockery in every land. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation Since you shed blood, you have become guilty, and by the idols you fashioned you have defiled yourself. You have pulled your final days toward you and reached your years; so I {Yahweh, Supreme Judge} have made you a disgrace to the nations and an object of ridicule throughout the lands. |
