4. Formal Translation And the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge} said to him, “Pass through the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are being done within it.” |
4. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Compassionate Watcher} told him, “Go through the city, through Jerusalem itself, and put a mark on the foreheads of those men who are grieving and crying out because of all the terrible things happening there.” |
