11. Formal Translation They sang in alternating responses, giving praise and thanksgiving to the LORD {Yahweh, Praise-Worthy One}, saying, “For He is good, and His loyal love endures forever toward Israel.” When the foundation of the LORD’s house was laid, all the people answered with a great shout of praise to the LORD. |
11. Dynamic Translation They answered one another with songs of praise and thanks to the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Guardian}, declaring, “He is good! His loyal love toward Israel endures forever.” Then the people raised a mighty shout of praise when the temple’s foundation had been set in place. |
