16. Formal Translation Then this Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God that is in Jerusalem; from that time until now it has continued being built, but it has not been completed. |
16. Dynamic Translation So Sheshbazzar came and began laying the foundations for God’s house in Jerusalem, and it has remained under construction ever since, still unfinished. |
