8. Formal Translation But now, for a brief interval, favor has come from the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Merciful Restorer} to leave us a remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place to enlighten our eyes and to grant us a little reviving in our servitude. |
8. Dynamic Translation Yet for just a short time, the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Gracious Deliverer} has shown grace by leaving us survivors and giving us a secure foothold in His sanctuary, so our God brightens our eyes and grants us a small measure of renewed life in our slavery. |
