3. Formal Translation And they said, each man to his fellow, “Come, let us form bricks and fire them completely.” And the brick served them in place of stone, and the bitumen served as their mortar. |
3. Dynamic Translation They said to one another, “Come, we should make bricks and bake them hard.” Brick replaced stone, and tar served as mortar. |
