| 11. Formal Translation And the angel of the LORD {Yahweh, Attentive Hearer} said to her, “Look, you are pregnant and will bear a son; you shall call his name Ishmael, because the LORD has heard your affliction.” |
| 11. Dynamic Translation The LORD’s {Yahweh, Compassionate Listener} angel told her, “See, you are pregnant and will have a son. Name him Ishmael, because the LORD has listened to your suffering.” |
