וַיִּֽקַּֽח־ל֣וֹ{va-yik-kakh-LO###vah-yik-kahkh-LOH###took for himself} יַעֲקֹ֗ב{ya-a-KOV###yah-ah-KOHV###Jacob} מַקַּ֥ל{ma-KAL###mah-KAHL###a stick of} לִבְנֶ֛ה{li-ve-NEH###lih-veh-NEH###poplar} לַ֖ח{LAKH###LAHKH###fresh} וְל֣וּז{ve-LUZ###veh-LOOZ###and almond tree} וְעֶרְמ֑וֹן{ve-e-re-MON###veh-eh-reh-MOHN###and plane tree} וַיְפַצֵּ֤ל{va-ye-fat-TSEL###vah-yeh-faht-TSEHL###He peeled} בָּהֵן֙{ba-HEN###bah-HEHN###in them} פְּצָל֣וֹת{pe-tsa-LOT###peh-tsah-LOHT###stripes} לְבָנ֔וֹת{le-va-NOT###leh-vah-NOHT###white} מַחְשֹׂף֙{ma-khe-SOF###mah-kheh-SOHF###exposing} הַלָּבָ֔ן{hal-la-VAN###hahl-lah-VAAN###the white part} אֲשֶׁ֖ר{a-SHER###ah-SHEHR###that is} עַל־הַמַּקְלֽוֹת׃{al-ham-ma-ke-LOT###ahl-hahm-mah-keh-LOHT###on the sticks}
