| 19. Formal Translation Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Purchase us and our land for bread, and we and our land will become servants to Pharaoh. Give seed so that we may live and not die, and the land will not become desolate. |
| 19. Dynamic Translation Why let us die right in front of you—us and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and then we and our land will be Pharaoh’s slaves. Give us seed so we can live and not die, and the land will not be left empty. |
