4. Formal Translation The Nephilim were in the land in those days, and also later on, when the sons of God came to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men of ancient times, men of renown. |
4. Dynamic Translation Giants were on the earth in those days, and afterward as well, when the sons of God had relations with human daughters and they bore children to them. These became the heroes of long-ago days, famous men. |
