Haggai 1:6:1זְרַעְתֶּ֨םzeratemyou sowed
Haggai 1:6:2הַרְבֵּ֜הharbemuch Haggai 1:6:3וְהָבֵ֣אvehaveand bringing in Haggai 1:6:4מְעָ֗טmeatlittle Haggai 1:6:5אָכ֤וֹלakholeating Haggai 1:6:6וְאֵין־לְשָׂבְעָה֙veenlesaveaand there is not to satisfaction Haggai 1:6:7שָׁת֣וֹshatodrinking Haggai 1:6:8וְאֵין־לְשָׁכְרָ֔הveenleshakheraand there is not to drunkenness Haggai 1:6:9לָב֖וֹשׁlavoshto clothe oneself Haggai 1:6:10וְאֵין־לְחֹ֣םveenlekhomand there is not for warmth Haggai 1:6:11ל֑וֹloto him Haggai 1:6:12וְהַ֨מִּשְׂתַּכֵּ֔רvehammistakerand the one earning wages Haggai 1:6:13מִשְׂתַּכֵּ֖רmistakerearns wages Haggai 1:6:14אֶל־צְר֥וֹרeltserorinto a bundle or bag Haggai 1:6:15נָקֽוּב׃פnakuvpierced or holed
6. Formal Translation
You have sown much but gather little; you eat but have not enough to satisfy; you drink but do not reach fullness; you clothe yourselves but have no warmth; and the one earning wages earns them only to put into a bag with holes.
6. Dynamic Translation
You plant extensively but harvest only a little; you eat yet never have enough; you drink yet never fully satisfy yourself; you put on clothes yet remain cold; and the wage earner collects pay only to deposit it into a purse with holes.
