Exegesis

The Qal imperfect evkeh {אֶבְכֶּה | ʾev-qê} ‘I will weep’ is emphatically reinforced by the prepositional instrument bivkhi {בִּבְכִי | bivqî} ‘with weeping,’ doubling the expression of grief.

In contextIsaiah 16:9

Therefore I will weep with Jazer’s lament for the vine of Sibmah; I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh, for the shout over your summer fruit and your harvest has fallen.
