5. Formal Translation Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, they are, and they do not speak; they must be carried, for they do not walk. Do not fear them, for they cannot do evil nor can they do good. |
5. Dynamic Translation They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber patch—a man-made figure that cannot speak. They must be carried, since they cannot walk on their own. Do not be afraid of them, because they are powerless to harm, and they are just as unable to help. |
