17. Formal Translation And the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Commander of Armies}, who planted you, has spoken disaster against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and the house of Judah, which they have done to themselves to provoke Me to anger by offering incense to Baal. |
17. Dynamic Translation The LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Supreme Commander}, who planted you, has decreed disaster on you because the people of Israel and the people of Judah have done evil to themselves by offering incense to Baal, provoking Me to anger. |
