Exegesis

The negative lo {לֹא־ | lō} with the imperfect ezkerenû {אֶזְכְּרֶנּוּ | ʾez-kər-e-nû} ‘I will mention him’ and wə-lō ’ădabber {וְלֹא־ אֲדַבֵּר | wə-lō ʾă-dabber} ‘and not I will speak’ emphasize his resolve to cease prophecy.

Finally, wə-nil’êti kalkēl wə-lō ’ūḵal {וְנִלְאֵ֥יתִי כַּלְכֵּל וְלֹ֥א אוּכָֽל | wə-nil-’ê-tî kal-kēl wə-lō ’ū-ḵal} ‘and I was weary of restraining it, and I could not’ conveys the breakdown of self-restraint.
