| 3. Formal Translation Then all the officials of the king of Babylon came and sat in the middle gate: Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim the chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-sharezer the chief magician, and all the rest of the officials of the king of Babylon. |
| 3. Dynamic Translation All the officials of the king of Babylon arrived and took their seats at the main gate: Nergal-sharezer, Samgar-nebo, Sarsechim the head eunuch, Nergal-sharezer the chief magician, and the remnant of the king’s officials. |
