12. Formal Translation They have spoken falsely of the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Judge} and said, "It is not He; calamity will not come upon us, and sword and famine we shall not see." |
12. Dynamic Translation They have spoken falsely about the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous King} and claimed, "He is not acting; no trouble {ra'ah: misfortune, adversity} will come upon us. We shall not see war or hunger." |
