15. Formal Translation Behold, I am bringing upon you a nation from afar, O house of Israel—declares the LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Judge}—a nation that is enduring, an ancient nation whose language you do not know and whose speech you do not understand. |
15. Dynamic Translation Look, I am sending a distant nation against you, people of Israel, says the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}. It is a strong nation, an ancient people, a nation whose language you do not know, and you will not understand what they are saying. |
