7. Formal Translation How can I {Yahweh, Just Judge} forgive you? Your children have forsaken Me, and have sworn by what is not God. When I had fed them to the full, they committed adultery and assembled themselves in the house of a prostitute. |
7. Dynamic Translation Why would I {Yahweh, Provider of Needs} ever forgive you? Your children turned away from Me, and swore by gods that are not gods. Even after I fed them to the full, they were unfaithful and thronged to the houses of prostitutes. |
