16. Formal Translation Thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Judge}: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; you will find rest for your souls.” But they said, “We will not walk in it.” |
16. Dynamic Translation This is what the LORD {Yahweh, Moral Guide} says: “Stand at the roads and watch; ask for the ancient paths, find out which is the good road, and go that way. You will find rest for your lives.” But they said, “We will not go that way.” |
