21. Formal Translation Therefore thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Judge of Israel}: “Behold, I am placing stumbling blocks before this people, and fathers and sons together will stumble over them; neighbor and his companion will perish.” |
21. Dynamic Translation So this is what the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Arbiter} declares: “Look! I am putting obstacles before these people. Parents and children alike will trip over them together, and even neighbors and close friends will be lost.” |
