34. Formal Translation And I {Yahweh, Sovereign Judge} will cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets of Jerusalem the sound of joy and the sound of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, for the land will become desolate. |
34. Dynamic Translation I {Yahweh, Judge of Nations} will silence all sounds of celebration in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem—the sound of joy, the sound of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride—for the land will lie desolate. |
