6. Formal Translation If you do not oppress the sojourner, the orphan, or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, nor walk after other gods to your harm. |
6. Dynamic Translation If you never take advantage of a stranger, an orphan, or a widow, and if you do not spill innocent blood here, or follow after other gods, you bring harm on yourselves. |
