10. Formal Translation For the mountains I will lift up weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are scorched, with no one passing through, and the sound of livestock is not heard; the birds of the sky and the beasts have fled and gone away. |
10. Dynamic Translation I will weep and mourn over the mountains and cry over the pastures of the wilderness, because they have been burned up with no one to pass by. The lowing of cattle is silent; the birds in the sky and the beasts have fled and disappeared. |
