19. Formal Translation
For the sound of wailing is heard from Zion: “How we have been devastated! We are deeply ashamed, for we have forsaken the land, and they have thrown down our dwellings.”
19. Dynamic Translation
A cry of mourning rises from Zion: “How ruined we are! How humiliated we have become, because we left our land and our homes have been thrown down.”
