16. Formal Translation While this one was still speaking, another came and said, “The fire of God {Elohim, Sender Of Fire} has fallen from the heavens and has burned up the sheep and the young men, and it consumed them. Only I alone have escaped to tell you.” |
16. Dynamic Translation While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “God’s fire {Elohim, Controller Of Nature} fell from the sky and burned up the sheep and the servants, destroying them all. I am the only one who escaped to tell you.” |
