10. Formal Translation But he said to her, “You speak like one of the foolish women speaks. Should we receive good from God {Elohim, Sovereign Ruler over Circumstances}, and not also receive evil? In all this Job did not sin with his lips.” |
10. Dynamic Translation He answered her, “You sound like a foolish woman. Must we welcome good from God {Elohim, Supreme Giver of Outcomes} but refuse to accept adversity?” Yet in all of this, Job did not sin in what he said. |
