Lord, turn your Church again toward Jesus. Where we have grown busy, distracted, or shallow, awaken us to seek him honestly, listen to his voice, and stay close enough to follow. Make us a people who ask real questions and welcome his answer, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Father, thank you that Jesus notices those who are following him. Thank you that he does not ignore sincere seekers, and that he welcomes honest questions. Teach me to trust his attention and rest in it today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one thing you truly seek from Jesus, then ask him to show you whether your heart is after him or after something else. Finish by asking for grace to keep following him closely.

Pray for someone you know who is searching for truth, hope, or belonging. Ask that Jesus would meet them, that they would recognize his voice, and that they would feel free to ask honest questions and draw near.

Bring before God your desire to stay with Jesus as your Teacher. Pray for a heart that listens, learns, and follows, and for courage to be honest when you do not know what you are seeking.
