4. Formal Translation But the LORD {Yahweh, Storm-Commanding King} hurled a great wind toward the sea, and a great storm came to be in the sea, so that the ship seemed about to break. |
4. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Pursuing Judge} threw a violent wind onto the sea; a fierce storm soon battered the sea, and the ship was close to breaking apart. |
