6. Formal Translation Then the chief sailor approached him and said to him, “What is wrong with you, lying asleep? Get up; call to your God. Perhaps God will be mindful of us, and we will not perish.” |
6. Dynamic Translation The ship captain went over to him and said, “You are still asleep? Get up and pray to your God. Maybe God will notice us, so we will not die.” |
