וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ{va-yo-me-RU###vah-yoh-meh-RUU###and they said} אִ֣ישׁ{ISH###EESH###a man} אֶל־רֵעֵ֗הוּ{el-re-E-HU###ehl-reh-EE-HOO###to his companion} לְכ֛וּ{le-KHU###leh-KHOO###come} וְנַפִּ֣ילָה{ve-nap-pi-LA###veh-nahp-pee-LAA###and let us cast} גּוֹרָל֔וֹת{go-ra-LOT###goh-rah-LOHT###lots} וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה{ve-ne-de-A###veh-nee-deh-AA###and let us know} בְּשֶׁלְּמִ֖י{be-shel-le-MI###beh-shehl-leh-MEE###on account of whom} הָרָעָ֣ה{ha-ra-A###haa-rah-AA###the evil} הַזֹּ֔את{ha-ZOT###hah-ZOHT###this} לָ֑נוּ{LA-nu###LAA-noo###to us} וַיַּפִּ֙לוּ֙{va-yap-pi-LU###vah-yahp-pee-LUU###and they cast} גּוֹרָל֔וֹת{go-ra-LOT###goh-rah-LOHT###lots} וַיִּפֹּ֥ל{va-yip-POL###vah-yihp-POHL###and it fell} הַגּוֹרָ֖ל{ha-go-RAL###hah-goh-RAAL###the lot} עַל־יוֹנָֽה׃{al-yo-NA###ahl-yoh-NAA###upon Jonah}
