7. Formal Translation And he proclaimed and said in Nineveh, “By the decree of the king and his nobles: Let no man or beast, herd or flock taste anything. Let them not feed or drink water.” |
7. Dynamic Translation He ordered and announced in Nineveh, “By order of the king and his officials: No person or animal, cattle or flock, may taste anything. They must not eat or drink any water.” |
