8. Formal Translation But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth and let them call out with strength to God {Elohim, Merciful Judge}, and let each one turn from his evil way and from the violence in their hands. |
8. Dynamic Translation Let people and animals wear sackcloth and urgently call out to God {Elohim, Compassionate Responder}. Everyone should turn from their evil ways and from the violence in their hands. |
