| 14. Formal Translation Then the sons of Joseph spoke to Joshua, saying, “Why have you given me as inheritance only one lot and one portion, though I am a numerous people—even until now that the LORD {Yahweh, Blessing Giver} has blessed me.” |
| 14. Dynamic Translation The descendants of Joseph said to Joshua, “Why did you assign us just one share and one piece of land for our inheritance, even though we are such a large tribe? The LORD {Yahweh, Provider} has blessed us right up to now.” |
