| 47. Formal Translation And the border of the sons of Dan went out from them, and the sons of Dan went up against Leshem and captured it, and they struck it with the sword, and they possessed and dwelt in it. And they called Leshem Dan, after the name of Dan their ancestor. |
| 47. Dynamic Translation So the Danites outgrew their land and went up to fight Leshem, conquering it and striking it with the sword. They then settled there and renamed Leshem Dan after their ancestor. |
