| 6. Formal Translation And he shall dwell in that city until he stands before the assembly for judgment, and until the death of the high priest who shall be in those days. Then the killer shall return to his city and to his house, to the city from which he fled. |
| 6. Dynamic Translation He must stay in that city until he appears before the community for trial, and until the high priest serving at that time dies. Then the one who committed the killing can return to his hometown and home, to the city he ran away from. |
