The negative imperfect velo-yomeru beneikhem machar lebanenu ein-lakhem chelek baYHWH {וְלֹא־יֹאמְרוּ בְנֵיכֶם מָחָר לְבָנֵינוּ אֵין־לָכֶם חֵלֶק בַּיהוָה} sets a future safeguard so that descendants will not claim exclusion from the covenant community.
