Formal Translation Rather, it is a witness between us and you and between our generations after us, so that we may serve the LORD {Yahweh, Worship Recipient} before Him with our burnt offerings, our sacrifices, and our peace offerings, that your sons may not say to our sons in days to come, “You have no portion in the LORD.” |
| 27. Dynamic Translation This stands as a witness between us, you, and future generations, so that we may worship the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant God} in His presence with our burnt offerings, sacrifices, and peace offerings. Then in days to come your children will not be able to say to our children, “You have no part in the LORD.” |
