Exegesis

The imperatives penu ûleku {פְּנוּ וּלְכוּ | pə-nû û-le-kû} ‘turn and go’ guide action, followed by the locative la-khem le-aholei-khem {לָכֶם לְאָהֳלֵיכֶם | la-khem lə-ʾā-hō-lê-yhem} ‘to your tents.’

The clause natan la-khem Moshe eved YHWH {נָתַן לָכֶם מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד יְהוָה | nā-tan la-khem Mō-šeh ʿe-ved Yə-hō-wāh} attributes the grant to Moses as the LORD’s servant, and the prepositional phrase be-ever ha-yarden {בְּעֵבֶר הַיַּרְדֵּן | bə-ʿê-ver ha-yar-ḏēn} ‘beyond the Jordan’ marks its boundary.

In contextJoshua 22:4

And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, just as He spoke to them. So turn back now and go to your tents, to the land of your possession , which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan.
