33. Formal Translation Naphtali did not dispossess the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh or the inhabitants of Beth Anath, but he dwelt among the Canaanite, the inhabitants of the land; yet the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath became forced laborers for them. |
33. Dynamic Translation Naphtali did not drive out those dwelling in Beth Shemesh or Beth Anath; instead he lived among the Canaanites in the land, and the people of Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath had to work as laborers for them. |
