7. Formal Translation And Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with the thumbs of their hands and their great toes cut off used to gather scraps under my table. As I have done, so God {Elohim, Retributive Judge} has repaid me.” Then they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there. |
7. Dynamic Translation Adoni-Bezek said, “Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to pick up crumbs under my table. God {Elohim, Just Repayer} has now paid me back for what I did to them.” They took him to Jerusalem, and he died there. |
