19. Formal Translation
And Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorite, the king of Heshbon, and Israel said to him, “Please let us pass through your land until I reach my place.”
19. Dynamic Translation
Israel sent messengers to Sihon, ruler of the Amorites and king of Heshbon, asking him, “Allow us to travel through your land so we can get to our own home.”
